strong points:

Salma Koken (後見サルマ Kōken Saruma) is one of the two warrior bodyguards of the Majin tribe who were given the task to watch over and protect Mut Mizu during her exile towards and within East Blue during the Mizu Saga of One Dream and One Piece: The Jolly Age. While having a brief appearance within the story at the start of the saga alongside her partner, Yahiro (on Ship of Fools Wiki,) Salma would later return in the Majin Arc as one of the many warriors who clashed against Haidar's Pride Clan. She would also later return during The Phoenix War.

  • Salma's first name derives itself from the real world Arabic name, Salma, which in Arabic means "safe." This seems to be Wyvern's attempt to refer to Salma's initial appearance in the story as a bodyguard warrior, entrusted in protecting Mut Mizu from danger.
    • Salma's last name is the Japanese word, Kōken, meaning "Guardian" in English. Again, it seems to refer to Salma's role as a protector and warrior of self-defense.
    • Interestingly, unlike many characters Wyvern has named on the Ship of Fools Wiki who follow the Japanese naming convention of "last name-first name," Salma seems to follow the western format of "first name-last name," much like canon character, Caesar Clown. Wyvern's explanation for this being that he felt "Salma Koken" sounded better than "Koken Salma."
